Robert Dykes and Miguel Campos are developing this volume to move discussion of generative AI beyond prompting, classroom applications, and content creation, and toward deeper questions about how generative AI is reshaping second language learners.
Robert previously launched and co-edited two volumes with Candlin & Mynard: Artificial Intelligence in Our Language Learning Classrooms and Artificial Intelligence in Japan’s Language Learning Classrooms. Miguel has served for more than three years as lead editor of the international JALT PanSIG Journal. Together, they bring substantial editorial experience and a shared interest in learner-focused, theoretically grounded, and critical discussions of generative AI and language learning.
